Parasols are an essential fashion accessory, providing ample protection from the sun.
The fahsion for parasols goes back into history by thousands of years. Parasols originated in the East Indies about 5,000 years ago. In 3000 B.C., the Egyptians used parasols for sun protection. Around the 1st century B.C., the parasol spread to ancient Rome and Greece. It took the Italian renaissance in the 16th century to reintroduce the parasol to modern European soil.
